Attend a school of magic for the year as a student or professor in this solo journaling game!

Welcome! So you've decided to spend this year in a school of magic? Wonderful! As the headmaster, I'm quite delighted and offer you my warmest welcome. Using the printable book as your guide, you'll navigate your way through the school as a student or professor as you craft your story.

The School of Magic is a wonderful place for witches and wizards to pursue the art of magic whether it be potion making, beast taming, transmutions or the battle arts.

It's quite easy to play, if I say so myself. Once you've obtained the book, you'll need to create your character and describe what makes them who they are. The book's setup section includes several prompts to help you define your character.

After that, you'll need a deck of cards; standard or tarot, either will work! You'll choose a season to begin with and draw a card. Each card is a part of a table of prompts in the book. You'll look up the card in its respective table to find its prompt then read it and write in your journal.

Each journal entry you write shapes your character's story. Your entries have no rules; you can write as little or as much as you'd like. After you've gone through the four seasons, you'll go to the Endings section and write your character's last entry.

The book also includes a Index of Magic at the end which includes a list of some zany magical names, foods and locations to use as inspiration which you can use when writing your journal entries.
